Bagga Ltd ceased trading on 18th June 2010, after 16 years at the top of their game. An high quality portfolio of designer menswear brands including Stone Island, G Star, Armani Jeans, Lacoste, Edwin, Nudie Jeans and more – bagga was an internationally recognized retailer with an enviable reputation.
The demise of bagga was brought about partly by the launch of a new website that had major technical issues.
Bagga Menswear was a pioneer of menswear online retail, launching a site years before the “big boys” such as Harrods, House of Fraser, USC, Republic and more. Bagga Menswear traded online for over 10 years. Other stores have taken the lead in the market now, including Zalando.co.uk, Mainline Menswear, and Woodhouse.

What happened? The website alone could not be the problem – could it? A site like that – the basic functions – should take no longer than a few weeks to set up (again).

No, of course there were other factors. The faulty website was the tipping point.

I see.. too bad. Anyway, best of luck to you! I hope you manage to recover.

I’m sorry to heard bad news. I was your very satisfied customer from Serbia. The most I liked on your site was way how to explain real measure of clothes, giving measurements of your model and fitting sizes. I didn’t find other sites to do such a simple, but effective explanation. I hope you’ll recover soon! Best of luck!

Damn. That's too bad. I did wonder what was going on. Goodluck to all those involved.

"Niche brands such as Canada Goose, Penfield, Edwin, Garbstore and more were confirmed for Autumn/Winter 2010, to add to the portfolio"
Doesn't matter how niche the brands were, they will always be ruined by a fat model

Ha ha – You obviously hadn't visited the site for a while – we'd used a new, 6ft 2", ripped model for quite a while. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes he was much better but it was too little too late I'm afraid. The previous had already tarnished the brand you'd worked so hard to build…

I don't really think he made much difference either way.We did actually get quite a lot of feedback saying customers could identify more with a "real" bloke. You can't please all of the people all of the time!

I preferred the slightly fatter model, he was similar shape to myself lol. The “Real” bloke thing makes complete sense to me, more people are of average shape rather than being ripped.
Most other sites use models that are half a stone and pale, clothes look like crap on them and have at times put me off, the chunky fella was fine by me I say
The model size guide was an excellent thing, one of my favourite things about the site. And I quite like the old site. Aint nothing you can do but try again fella, bring Diesel jeans back though

Thanks for the feedback Mark. Keep checking back here for news + updates. Diesel Jeans? Not a big fan anymore – IMO the Diesel Jeans collection looks a bit "samey" most seasons. I'll pass on your regards to the "chunky fella" ! Cheers

Thanks yes, do indeed pass on my regards to the chunky lad and let him know he is not alone
I actually sized up from him each order and was pretty much spot on with the sizing on all items that I purchased. I was actually disappointed when the better shape guy was introduced.
Interestingly while ordering a coat for the Wife on a huge well known online clothes retailer I noticed that they have now introduced a similar system, for example model is "5ft 11 and wearing a size UK 8 in this item"
I have yet to see the male equivalent, for example "Model is 6ft, 5 Stone, Pale and left his arse at home" but I am sure it is only a matter of time.
I am banging on a bit about this, but yes I found it very useful, and like me and a lot of other guys just don't do shopping well, so when we find somewhere that we are comfortable with we tend to stay loyal to them, I am a terrible shopper. And finally, returns, this simple yet useful size guide cuts down on returns that are a nightmare for everyone I am sure. The huge online retailer also offer free returns now I see, very useful.
Many thanks
